Construction starts for Christina Gordon Public School

Named after one of Fort McMurray’s first female pioneers, a meteorologist and gardening enthusiast, officials announced another new school for the region, Christina Gordon Public School, set to open two years from now in Timberlea.

Province hopes $142-million injection into engineering program will relieve skilled worker shortage

The province has kicked in $142.5 million to pay for a major expansion at the University of Calgary’s Schulich School of Engineering that will pave the way for at least 400 new students to study at the facility.

Both the Lethbridge public school district and the Holy Spirit Catholic school division have more students than they predicted in their classrooms this year, fulfilling their predictions for increases in enrolment.
