City, developers confident an agreement can be reached soon regarding off-site levies

With a narrowed focus, city officials and developers are confident they can reach a consensus on the cost involved of a new Off-site Levy Bylaw in the next 60 days, while leaving the stickier issue of the city’s cost-sharing program of servicing new developments out of the picture… for now.

Efficiencies needed between city and developers: Wong

Though it’s a little too late to do much about it now, Coun. Dan Wong wants city staff to work more efficiently with developers prior to construction season.

“One of the issues I’ve heard from developers and engineering firms is that the construction season in Grande Prairie is really short. We really only have five months and things need to get moving by May 1,” Wong said.
