Alberta economy fastest growing in Canada

CALGARY – Alberta has been the largest contributor to economic growth in the country for three consecutive years, outpacing the much larger economies of Central Canada, says a new report released Monday by the Conference Board of Canada.

OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canada’s economy picked up speed in the third quarter, with stronger-than-expected growth driven mainly by consumer spending and business inventory accumulation while there were also signs of a rebound in business investment.
