As interest around local food and urban agriculture continues to grow, City staff are asking what they can do to help residents embrace the trend here in Airdrie.

Stony Plain asking for feedback on first draft of new municipal development plan
The aptly named Uniquely Stony Plain project started approximately one year ago to create a new municipal development plan (MDP) and now the Town is delivering the first draft of that project.
After all the community engagement, neighbourhood parties, meetings, the Town’s director of planning and infrastructure Jean Porteous has a first draft of the new MDP for residents to scrutinize.

Residents offer input into waterfront development
The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo hosted a public engagement session on the proposed Waterfront Program Wednesday evening, the second of three sessions planned.
The municipality says it has received a lot of feedback from its last session and online surveys.
