Park and cemetery fees increasing

On Feb. 3, city council approved a new rates bylaw that will see a 2.5 per cent increase in all youth fees and adult baseball fees.

Canada Post reverses plans for $5 surcharge in Fort McMurray

EDMONTON – Canada Post retreated Monday from its plan to add a $5 surcharge on parcels to Fort McMurray following an outcry from disgruntled residents.

Little to no increase for City fees in 2014

Several of the City’s user fees will remain unchanged for the New Year such as:

Fares for the Edmonton Transit System ($3.20 for an adult fare)

Admission fees for the Valley Zoo ($9.50) and the Muttart Conservatory ($12 adult)

Residential development permits for home enhancements such as decks, hot tubs and solar panels
