WestJet marks 33rd consecutive quarter of profitability

CALGARY – WestJet (TSX:WJA) says it earned net income of $44.7 million in the second quarter, or 34 cents per diluted share, compared to $42.5 million, or 31 cents per diluted share in the same period a year ago.

Northwestern Air adds flight to Kelowna schedule

Due to strong demand, Northwestern Air will add a Monday flight to its Kelowna schedule beginning August 5, 2013. With this expansion, travellers can now choose from convenient flights to Kelowna from Red Deer Airport 6 days a week.

WestJet’s passenger traffic up 8% in June

Despite reservation cancellations and a drop in advance bookings caused by floods in Alberta, WestJet reported an eight per cent increase in passenger traffic for the month of June over the same period last year.

Code share agreement extends WestJet’s reach to 16 new cities
