Red Deer’s Berry Architecture and Associates has been hired to design the revamp, which will see the library expand into space left by the departing archives, which are moving into a space in the newly completed municipal government building.

SPRUCE GROVE – The Spruce Grove Public Library will receive $37,825 of funding from the Federal Government. The funding will be provided under the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.
The library put in an application for funding and was successful in their efforts. Funds will be used to upgrade the facility, allowing patrons to more easily browse and access material.

Changes are happening at the Peace River Municipal Library following the completion of its new Plan of Service, a document created from the pulse of the community and adaptable enough to grow with changing needs.
Library staff and board members as well as a hand-selected committee of community representatives created 2012 Plan of Service, which is good for three years.

The Red Deer Public Library downtown branch will get more renovations next year, to the tune of $450,000.
