The Muskoseepi Park Pavilion will get a makeover this year as it undergoes a series of renovations approved by the City of Grande Prairie on Monday.
Monday, city council agreed to allocate more than $700,000 to the replacement of the pavilion’s exterior columns, windows and a portion of the roof.

CALGARY — Alberta homeowners plan to spend the most on their home renovations this year, according to a new poll released Monday by the CIBC.
The poll, conducted by Harris/Decima, said Albertans plan to spend on average $22,900, much more than the national average of $15,300.

New blood will pulse in the heart of the city. Plans to provide a new, downtown location for the Southern Alberta Ethnic Association won approval Monday from city council.
After debate, council endorsed a proposal to renovate and expand the former 6 Avenue fire hall instead of patching up the northside Bill Kergan Centre. As well as bringing new life – including international dinners and cultural events -to a busy downtown corner, council learned the change of plans will save $1.2 million.

A Calgary man says a water leak and mould in his southeast apartment is the latest in a series of problems with his landlord.
Robert Gaboury says a water leak caused a chunk of ceiling in his bedroom closet to fall down on Dec. 26.
“I was upstairs and I heard it and I came down and opened the door and it clunked me on the head,” he said.
